The CEA staff from the advisors to on-site staff went above and beyond to make sure that I had the most amazing experience abroad. I constantly felt enriched and empowered to explore the language and culture. From never-ending opportunities to explore
the city in our courses and with the CEA Paris Center staff to the community of wonderful students who were part of this program, there truly never was a dull moment.

Studying abroad with CEA this past summer in Southern France was by far the best experience of my life! CEA offered a variety of classes that I had no trouble transferring to my school for credit. While I was abroad, I took two classes and loved both
of them. My favorite course was “France during the occupation”. Though I am not the biggest fan of history courses, I found this one to be very engaging for several reasons. The first being the passion of the professor. Dr. Potter was very knowledgeable regarding the subject and was able to show this through his enthusiasm during class. He not only cared for each of the students in the class but also inspired, encouraged, and challenged us to search deeper for answers in order to become more independent learners. The second reason this was my favorite class was because of the interactive portion. Though I did not take a French course, I went with the intention of bettering my French. I challenged myself to only speak French for the whole day. In order to truly authentically familiarize myself with the local culture, I met French students who showed me around the city. Meeting French students allowed me to transition from being a tourist to a native. I am so thankful for CEA and the unique experience that they gave me.

Aix was the best place I could have studied abroad in. Personally, I love the feeling of quaint cities that also have great night life and activities throughout the day. Aix allowed me to enjoy the feeling of being in a city, but I still got to enjoy
a rural setting as well. There are so many parks and cafés to meet up at with your friends. I made so many friends attending my university as well as some local friends as well which makes me eager to go back!

Without CEA I would not have been able to figure out how to study abroad. The pre-departure individual attention that the CEA staff gives is amazingly helpful. They were so patient when I had small questions and emailed back very timely. Arriving in Aix,
CEA had planned excursions, on-site staff was very informative and caring, and housing was very close to the school. I also participated in the CEA MOJO program where I took photos and made blog posts during the semester. This was an amazing experience that allowed me to continue with my love for photography, while helping the program that allowed me to have the experience of a lifetime. I am so grateful for CEA's patience and willingness to help with even the smallest of issues that had come up during the study abroad process and experience.

CEA made every part of my study abroad experience better, and made the process much easier. I am glad that I had the opportunity to live in an apartment without a host family, but the apartment is in terrible condition and my experience could have been
improved if the apartment was of higher quality.

- Wouldn't Change a Thing02/17/18
This past summer, I studied abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France for six weeks. I lived in a homestay with a divorced mother and her 20 year old daughter. They spoke just a few words of English. Shortly after landing in France, I was welcomed by Alexia and
her mom, Karen. They were so warm and welcoming and made me feel at home which is exactly what I needed since I was 4,000 miles away from home and everything I knew for the very first time. My first night in Aix was very overwhelming and kind of rough but I felt a million times better less than 24 hours later, meeting the CEA staff. Throughout the six weeks, I knew there was always someone to talk to in the CEA office, which was conveniently located just around the corner from school. I would completely recommend CEA to someone who is interested in studying abroad. In addition to the exceptional staff, they also offered several excursions that other programs did not have. We had an all day excursion at the medieval town of Les Baux de Provence and smaller activities in the city like wine tasting and soap making. We even had an amazing farewell dinner a few days before our program ended. Studying abroad with CEA was an amazing experience that I would recommend to everyone. I cannot imagine going abroad any other way!

Studying abroad in Aix was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It was a program of almost 4 months that I did in the fall of 2014. Studying with CEA was a perfect choice because they pay so much attention to each student and help out so much.
Everything except for my flight and daily spending money was included so I didn't really have to worry about anything. The program director in France was always there for us and interacted with us so much and my homestay family was great. If I ever needed help from someone back in the states, I always had a contact. Ultimately, my experience was amazing and I would go again in a heartbeat!
