Academic Credit
At London Metropolitan University, academic credit is awarded as UK credits (15 per semester module, 30 per year-long module) and ECTS (7.5 per semester module, 15 per year-long module). While US credits (3 per 15 UK credits) are not shown on the transcript, students receive a conversion chart. You’ll typically take four classes per semester, equivalent to 30 ECTS or 12 US credits, and receive a transcript upon completion. Year-long modules are worth 30 credits and run from October to May, while semester-long modules, worth 15 credits, are assessed through coursework or exams depending on the semester.
