The Centre International d’Études Françaises (CIDEF) at Université Catholique de l’Ouest offers flexible summer programs for learning French. Eligibility
To be eligible for admission, applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or an end-of-secondary study certificate. Proficiency in French is NOT required for French language courses. Elective courses can be chosen depending on your current French language level.
Academic Credit
The Université Catholique de l’Ouest (UCO) in France uses the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), which allocates credits based on a student’s workload to meet course objectives. One academic semester equals 30 ECTS (15 US) credits, or 4-5 classes, with each credit representing 25–30 hours of work.
