Eligibility

To be eligible for the study abroad program at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, students must be currently enrolled at a higher education institution and must have completed at least two semesters of undergraduate study. They must maintain good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (or equivalent), and provide proof of English proficiency if it is not their first language. For courses taught in Italian, a B2 level in Italian is required. The program offers two main curricula, one designed specifically for international students.

Academic Credit

At Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, academic credits for the International Curriculum are awarded using the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). Each course within this curriculum is worth 6 ECTS, which is equivalent to about 3 US credits. The International Curriculum is designed specifically for international students and is taught entirely in English, with elective courses spanning business, economics, international relations, and Italian culture. Students can typically take 4 to 5 courses per semester, allowing them to earn a total of 30 ECTS, or 15 US credits. These credits can easily be transferred back to your home institution, depending on its policies​.
