Course and credit options: Students may enroll in a total of 6-10 credits from the following options: Students must choose at least two courses. No more than one Chinese language course may be taken on the program. Students must enroll in a minimum of 6 or 7 credits and a maximum of 10 credits. Setting Description:
Students will be housed in international student dormitories at Renmin University of China. Rooms include a bed (with a pillow, sheet and blanket), desk, chair, lamp, closet, phone and air conditioning. Students will participate in cultural excursions while in China. In Beijing, students will visit the Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China, the Summer Palace, the Silk Market et al. Students will travel to Inner Mongolia where they will tour the Mesmerizing Grasslands, participate in camel or horseback riding and a Mongolian dancing party. Students will also visit cities of Pingyao and Tianyuan where they will tour the Hanging Temple and the Qiao Residence. Students will visit most if not all of the above places depending on budgetary restrictions. The program will be led by Dr. Li Zhang, assistant professor of Sociology.
