There are also several courses specifically designed to introduce participants to the country and culture Introduction to Fante Twi Language (a major local tribal language), and Society, Government and Politics in Ghana and Africa.

Ghana is one of the most popular destinations in all of Africa. This is, in part, due to its political, economic and social stability. It has tropical beaches and big game wildlife. It is home to several major tribal cultures, has significant historical slave trade sites and an active music scene. In short, it has a little of everything making it the perfect destination for the student who wants to learn about the complex issues facing a typical developing African nation. At the same time, it provides a rich cultural, historical and social experience.

Program fees include tuition, orientation, housing, field trips and health insurance.

Setting Description:
Ghana has many miles of beautiful beaches, a rainforest that is home to rare primate species as well as an incredible "canopy walk" at the tops of the trees, and a game park in the center of the country. The city of Accra is flourishing -- the streets are clean and paved and new shopping centers emerge daily.
