Program Overview

Program Description:

June 26 – July 31, 2016 The University of Oxford-The Ohio State University Summer Law Program offers students who will have completed at least one academic year in good standing at an ABA-accredited law school prior to June 30 the unique opportunity to study with faculty from both the University of Oxford in England and The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in the United States.

Students will learn about the British and American legal systems through a combination of class work, guest lectures, and excursions in Oxford and London. The 2016 program will offer courses in Comparative Legal Professions, Comparative Sentencing and Punishment, European Union Law, Comparative Corporate Law, and International and Comparative Environmental Law. Students enrolled in the program may choose any combination of the following five courses and earn up to six semester hours of credit.

Tuition costs are kept low for a study-abroad program of this scope, making our summer of study in Oxford an excellent value. Every student is housed in a private room in facilities normally occupied by St. Anne’s undergraduate students. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the total charge and are served every day, including weekends, in the college dining hall. Mid-morning tea (and coffee) is served on class days. The fee also covers field study and excursion costs, receptions, and a farewell dinner.
