Program Overview

Program Description:
Meeting women in India and learning about their culture and lives takes students into the hearts of local women. Students will not only learn from these women but will also teach them some of their own skills.

A variety of experiences are in store for you from visiting women in their homes, learning to cook Indian foods, to learning about the types of work that poor women engage in to make a little money. In turn you will teach poor women about something that you know. For instance you may teach them about sanitation, health issues, or how to read a clock. This program is very individually based as its foundation is built on the knowledge of each of the participants.

One on one getting to know Indian women and having an exchange of ideas and knowledge cannot be measured. In participating in our programs you become a part of the solution of India's poverty.
