Program Description:
Summer in Dublin examines the experiences and problems that have played a pivotal role in the 20th century, including the contemporary cultural renaissance, the Celtic Tiger economy, and the revival of the native language. The Arts in Dublin takes place at the Tisch Dublin Centre in the Temple Bar district. The centre includes a classroom, seminar room with editing facility, director's office, student lounge, and a computer lab (wireless available).

Summer in Dublin is an intensive study of modern Irish society and culture with emphasis on history, literature, creative writing, and the Irish language. The Arts in Dublin offers two tracks: The Arts in Dublin and Producing. In the Arts in Dublin, students study contemporary Irish playwrights and explore the specific acting challenges these great writers set. The Producing track offers students an opportunity to study this field as an art form and business profession.

Setting Description:
Summer in Dublin program and student housing are centered at Trinity College, Ireland's oldest university, with a distinguished history since 1592 that boasts many famous graduates. The Arts in Dublin captures the vibrant city with a wealth of historic monuments, cathedrals and castles, theatres, museums, cafes, restaurants, and pubs. Despite its age, Dublin resonates with a very youthful energy.
