Program Description:

Opportunities to train and share with Colombian first responders in the fields of medicine, police, disaster relief, and firefighting will offer an unforgettable and valuable experience for anyone who has worked in the field.  Much logistical planning is required for this opportunity so it is important to follow-through on participation commitment – and a background check may be conducted to verify the participants experience, in addition to a video interview by the volunteer site’s managers may be requested.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • To learn how Colombian First Responders train & operate to meet their unique setting & resources
  • To share how American First Responders train & operate to meet their unique setting & resources

 

 
Participant Requirements:
 
Educational Background:  First Aid Certified, CPR Certified, plus prior experience at least in one of the following professional roles: firefighting, EMT, corpsman or combat medic, paramedic, nurse, or medical doctor.
