Program Description:

Following the rapid advancement of telecommunication technologies, the role of media has become central in contemporary developments in politics, economy and business. Understanding the way print, television, radio and online media operate is crucial in order to fully grasp the spectrum of current global affairs. From the academic point of view, media and communications is a vibrant and rapidly expanding area of study, allowing students and scholars to explore innovative media concepts as they are being developed. Furthermore, the changing business climate due to increasing digitalization is transforming the way today’s media operate, opening new channels for content-creation, distribution and networking.

MIUC’s BA in Media program is committed to developing new generations of media experts able to respond to the growing challenges in the global media industry. With the help of our internationally-experienced teaching staff and bespoke production facilities, you will develop a critical understanding of how local and global media operate, what does it mean to be a journalist in the digital age and finally, how to create, edit and produce a multimedia journalism piece.

Professional profile: The program is designed for students seeking careers in journalism, television networks, global and local media outlets, as well as in media departments of multinational corporations, governments and international organizations.

Setting Description:

Core courses concentrate on understanding the politics, culture and economy of media, along with the practical courses in news writing, multimedia reporting, editing and media production.

Cost:

MIUC's annual tuition fee for the entire studies is 18.900,00 EUR. Along with the inscription form, students will have to pay a non-refundable fee of 500,00 EUR in order to reserve a place at MIUC. The resultant 18.400,00 EUR will have to be paid in either of the following methods: - Pay the full quantity before 1st of October 2014 - Pay the tuition fee by installments.
