Program Overview

Program Description:

The aim of this program is to help and support economically disadvantaged children who attend the childcare center. Based in the beautiful city of Quito, a volunteer's help is invaluable and very much in need here. 

Whilst participating in this program, volunteers tasks will include playing with the children, feeding those in need, assisting with the acquisition of social skills and language development, as well as helping children to do their homework. There is also sufficient scope for volunteers to share any personal skills they have in music, dance or art, and this is very much encouraged.

This program provides volunteers with the opportunity to share their knowledge and skills with those in need, and to help shape the lives of the beautiful children of Ecuador. It will be an experience that will last a lifetime!

Language: Knowledge of the Spanish language will be advantageous, but is not a prerequisite for this program. Spanish lessons can be arranged during your placement in Ecuador and are highly recommended.

Setting Description:

As with all of our projects in Quito, volunteers can choose to be accommodated in one of our shared volunteer apartments, or with one of our friendly local host families. In both options WiFi and laundry services are available. Free time can be used to explore this breathtaking city, or take trips into the amazon jungle!

Cost:

LV Registration Fee + Programs Fees from just $380 for one week! USD. Included: Accommodation, Meals (dependent on accommodation), Airport Pickup, Orientation on Arrival and 24/7 In-Country Support. Not Included: Flights, Insurance, Visa, Vaccinations, In-Country Transport, Return Airport Transfer and Spending Money.
