Students can also attend lectures at the American Academy in Rome and national academies and the numerous educational institutions in Rome in addition to the program lectures.

Setting Description:
Rome is not only the capital of the Republic of Italy, but also world headquarters of the Roman Catholic church, an historic fulcrum of Roman civilization and a crucible of Renaissance and Baroque art. Centered here are more than twenty international organizations dedicated to relief programs, world agricultural improvement and such varied activities as preservation of art patrimonies and international non-governmental conflict negotiations.
