Located in Jakarta, Indonesia, LANGUAGE STUDIES INDONESIA (LSI) is the only educational institution in the Indonesian Capital devoted solely to the study of Bahasa Indonesia - the Indonesian language. Founded by a consortium of Canadian and Indonesian educators, LSI’s step-by-step course programme is arguably the most effective and scientifically-based Indonesian language programme available in the world today. LSI’s six patented Bahasa Indonesia courses - four years in development - are designed to serve every level of competency, from Beginner to Advanced. Course instruction is delivered live, in-person in Jakarta, through private tutorial sessions, enabling students to achieve their linguistic aims in the shortest possible time. Students may study at their home, at their office, or at any Jakarta location of their choosing. Students outside of Jakarta may study ONLINE from 122 countries worldwide. (Online courses are identical to those delivered live, in-person in Jakarta.) Tutorial sessions (whether delivered in Jakarta or Online) are conducted by LSI's world-class faculty comprised of former university professors, linguists, curriculum specialists, interpreters, translators, and former school teachers from Indonesia’s international school community. All Tutors/Mentors are university-accredited Language Teachers, and all are fully bilingual in English and Indonesian. Lesson scheduling is flexible. Students design their own Weekly Lesson Schedules in accordance with their lifestyles, studying as extensively or intensely as they wish - from two lessons weekly to three lessons daily.

Setting Description:

Course instruction is delivered through PRIVATE TUTORIAL SESSIONS (1 Tutor/Mentor with 1-4 learners). Students design their own weekly lesson schedules, studying as intensively as they wish – from 2 sessions per week to 2 sessions per day. Students may choose to study with LSI IN JAKARTA, or to study “ONLINE.” Available to university students, private clients and client-organisations in 122 countries worldwide, LSI’s Online Courses are identical to those offered live, in-person in Jakarta.
