Study Tour: Dates: 27 July – 3 Aug 2013, 8 days This engaging study tour enables you to immerse yourself in the history and heritage of the Scottish Highlands through a combination of lectures, workshops and field trips. Learn about most dramatic events in the Scottish history and discover how they shaped Scotland’s modern politics and social scene. You will visit iconic castles and historic forts while enjoying the stunning environment of Highland lochs and glens.

Setting Description:
Inverness College UHI is situated in the thriving City of Inverness, evolved from an ancient fort to the Capital of the Highlands of Scotland, where you will find the warmest of welcomes. Inverness has excellent modern leisure and recreational facilities and an abundance of outdoor and sporting activities. The city has a fantastic range of restaurants, café bars, pubs and clubs where you will find live bands playing modern and traditional music. Inverness is a safe, green, exceptional place, open to new ideas, new people and new businesses.

Fee: £650 The fee includes: tuition (workshops and lectures, not credit-bearing), 4 field trips, hostel accommodation (7 nights), food (half board) + packed lunch on day 7; The fee does not include: entrance fees, lunches (except day 7), flights, insurance, personal expenses
