Setting Description:
France ignites passions in a multitude of ways. From its elaborate everyday meals, to its robust selection of delectable wines, to its simple pleasures of dinner on the Seine outings or sophisticated art museums, it is a city of the ages and one that is not to be missed. Parisians love the best life has to offer and can teach you about the balance and art of indulgence. Learn why it is important to savory your drink, take your time with food, and stop to literally smell the roses. Start your Francophile conversion by studying in the world’s most fascinating city and getting to know its people. Some additional facts: - Gustav Eiffel designed a wrought-iron archway as a welcome awning for the World’s Fair but Parisians called it an eyesore and it was set for demolition in 1909. Only its use as a communication tower saved it from destruction. - French school children are generally not allowed to bring their own lunch from home. Instead they are served four course meals cooked by school
