- Program Description:
- The IAB Diploma in Dance provides students with the opportunity to grow and develop as dancers and performing arts professionals. The programme works across the principle areas of dance practice and the associated areas of acting and voice/singing.
The one-year Foundation programmes are designed for talented individuals who feel they want an intense period of vocational study to ensure they gain a place at either a top national or international performing arts school. The programmes provide the student with the opportunity to explore a broad range of the performing arts which allows the student to find their chosen direction. In some circumstances, individuals who complete the programme could move directly into employment. The foundation programmes provide options for non-native English speakers to develop English language skills so as to allow them to progress onto universities and academies in the UK and the USA.

The IAB Diploma in Dance is made up of six areas of study. Approximately 70% is given over to dance and 30% to supporting disciplines: Business and contextual studies Dance technique Ballet Jazz and tap Commercial (including street / hip hop, etc) Contemporary Dance and health Acting technique Singing Performance Courses are taught in English and diploma awarded by UK university.

- The IAB is housed in an amazing state of the art building in Sitges. Situated half an hour from the centre of Barcelona, Sitges is one of Spain's jewels. Originally a small fishing village, in the 19th century it became a centre for counter-culture and the arts. The town is frequently used as the location for TV adverts and films and boasts a number of outdoor performance locations. Sitges has the largest street carnival in mainland Europe (as well as numerous other festivals), is home to a major international film festival and has five substantial museums and galleries. It is both a modern and exciting town with an excellent nightlife, but retains much of its original charm as a small coastal Catalan town. Sitges is an up-market tourist destination and has some of the finest beaches in Spain.
