Program Description:

As you embark on a journey to the Seychelles you can look forward to gaining your PADI Advanced and PADI Coral Reef Research Diver courses while contributing to important marine conservation efforts. The crystal clear water of the Indian Ocean offers divers amazing sights and great visibilty as they learn how to identify fish and coral reefs. Out of the water our volunteers get involved in additional projects and activities, including training sessions, marine debris surveys and removal, and environmental education. Volunteering with GVI not only allows you to participate and make a meaningful impact while assisting disadvantaged communities or endangered ecosystems, but it also offers fantastic opportunities to travel and explore the local area. 

Setting Description:
Our marine base in the Seychelles is located in Mahe, adjacent to the spectacular Baie Ternay Marine Park. It is situated next to stunning palm-fringed beaches and forested areas offering volunteers the ideal space to make a meaningful marine conservation impact.

Additional Program Information

Participants need to be qualified to at least PADI Open Water, or equivalent before starting the program. A background and passion for marine conservation and environmental awareness is also beneficial. Students must also speak English and be physically and mentally fit to live in this remote location.
Scholarships Description:
Only National Scholarship Programs. Scholarships offered to the native people of the country where the program takes place.
