Program Overview
- Program Description:
Spend 2 intensive weeks taking an interdisciplinary approach to the contemporary challenges facing a major European city at a social, political, and economic crossroads. Morning classes tackle issues such as human rights, migration and refugees. Afternoon site visits take us to museums, NGOs, sites of urban protest, the national Bank of Spain, and Congress. Spend a weekend exploring the city of Barcelona. Lodging and classes are in Madrid's historic city center. Lectures are in English.

Eligibility
This program is open to all graduate students including students who do not attend George Mason University. Junior and senior level students may apply with permission of the Academic Director, contact the Program Officer for more information.
