COURSE CONTENT FASHION JOURNALIST The course content is subdivided into three segments: THEORY: Fashion, Art, Costume, Literary History Textile Technology | Business English | Politics / German Italian | Marketing / PR | CAD / Internet / DTP Digital Cutting Techniques | Journalistic Modes of Presentation PRACTICE: Drapery | Fashion Design | Fashion Photography | Production Technology ADDITIONAL WORKSHOPS ON THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: Fashion video clips | Fashion in media Fashion shows – Events | Model casting Styling | Colour & styling consultation Business start-ups | Application and presentation training

You are at least 17 years old, as a general rule, have a vocational extension certificate, a secondary modern school or general secondary school qualification, and artistic talent? Under 17-year-olds with a special artistic aptitude may seek derogation. Special feature: Apprentices with a high level of artistic achievement can switch to the Bachelor programme following approval by the University Council.

Internships are designed to enable students to put theory into practice and gain new experience. When applying for an internship, international contacts established at trade fairs, shows and exhibitions along with short-term internships at home and abroad prove particularly helpful. INTERNATIONAL FASHION DESIGNER Each student has to complete a 6-month internship after the 5th semester. This internship must have a minimum duration of 4 months and take place abroad. FASHION JOURNALIST Students must complete a 3-month internship in the 3rd and 5th semesters. These can also be performed nationally.

Fashion Design: This can include collages, photos, sketches, illustrations, pictures, sculptures or other selfmade creative objects. Fashion Journalism: An additional research project must be completed. Each person may choose their own theme.
