Program Description:

To make students familiar with the interdisciplinary character of challenges in logistics, mobility and sustainability the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, together with Zurich University of Applied Sciences and the Rotterdam Business School developed this International Summer University. University lecturers from Business Studies, from Urban and Architectural Planning as well as from Technology and Computer Science programs contribute to this event, complemented by external experts. A variety of excursions to outstanding sites will give practical insights into different aspects of the topics. The aim of the program is to enable students to understand the complexity of processes and organisations, to learn about increasing challenges related to logistical problems and to learn about the necessity to check social and managerial decision-making against their social, economical and ecological consequences (sustainability, carbone footprint).

Participating to this Summer University will enable you to advance in your studies by allowing you to gain an European and interdisciplinary knowledge about how the challenges of mobility and sustainabilty can be met. Our intensive 4 week program has been designed by lecturers from three European universities in order to guarantee high academic standards. Not only are our lecturers highly regarded researchers in their fields but have a substantial professional background ensuring the practical focus of the program. Setting Description:

Because the challenges and the solutions are complex and interdisciplinary, we designed our Summer University Program as an entity founded around three axes: 1. Classes: Classes are covering a different fields of study in order to give you a overall picture. All classes are taught in english and are part of the program. No previous knowledge in one of these fields is necessary, the level and the content of the classes are adapted. 2. Excursions: Three locations for this program giving you the chance to experience three different situations! 3. Field Trips: We are three academic institutions devoted to build bridges with the business world. Our field trips are meant to show you insights of the business world.
