Program Description:

Volunteering in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, and you'll be working in a landscape full of waterfalls, coffee plantations, and banana fields. With Mount Kilimanjaro as a stunning backdrop, you'll have a chance to work side by side with vulnerable people to build better, healthier futures.

Volunteer with Cross-Cultural Solutions and you'll experience not only the great things Tanzania is famous for, but also a side that you never knew existed. By connecting with the local staff and serving others, you'll experience Tanzania not as a tourist, but more as a member of the community.

For two decades, CCS volunteers have traveled around the world to work on sustainable service projects. Volunteer in Tanzania to help improve education for local children, assist with the care of children, work to empower girls and women through education, assist children or adults with disabilities, support individuals living with HIV/AIDS, or provide education and outreach surrounding important health topics.

After volunteering for the day, you'll be able to walk around your neighborhood or explore some of the gorgeous spots nearby. Setting Description:

Both Tanzania program sites are based in beautiful farming villages where participants get to know the community. They offer the vibrancy of a city and the warm and tight-knit feeling of a smaller community. Moshi is the capital town of the Kilimanjaro Region, located at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Bagamoyo is 45 minutes from the capital, Dar es Salaam and is near the coast.
