Dundee, the “City of Discovery”, (pop. 170,000) lies on the estuary of the Tay on the east coast of Scotland, with the Highlands to the north and St. Andrews and Edinburgh to the south. The city of Dundee has more students per head than any other city in the United Kingdom, which means that it is a vibrant university town with services and businesses that cater to students’ needs and budgets. There are excellent cultural and social activities, as well as sporting and shopping facilities. Dundee has the nicest climate of all of Scotland’s cities, with more sunshine and lower rainfall than other location.
The University of Dundee has been selected as the Scottish University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide for both 2016 and 2017, hailed for both its excellent teaching quality and student experience.
