Electronic Technicians work closely with engineers to help design, test and service the technology that is changing our lives today. Jobs in the computer networking and technology field are expected to grow by 12 percent between 2012 and 2022, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Entry-level career opportunities include: Electronics Maintenance Technician, Electronics Assembler, Equipment Calibration Technician, Communication Technician, Fiber Optic Technician, Field Service Technician or Security and Surveillance Technician.
At CCNN, you’ll learn both basic and advanced functions of an Industrial Electronic Technician, which include:
- Designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment
- Supervising the manufacture of electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems and power generation equipment
- Manufacturing and robotics, as well the
- Varying aspects of electronics and wireless technology
Within the program, you’ll take ? credit hours of Industrial Electronic Technician coursework, including:

- Wireless Technology
- Home Technology, Security and Surveillance

- Fluid Power Dynamics
- Industrial Motor Controls

Following the completion of the Industrial Electronic Technician program students will be prepared to sit for certification in the following: Soldering Application Specialist, State of Nevada Certificate of Registration for alarm installation and Federal Communications Commission.
