Program Overview

Program Description:

We could post a statistic about how many people are currently incarcerated in the US, but by the time you read this sentence, the number will have already risen. How is it possible to say how many of those people are there for a crime they did not commit? Through this seminar, you will learn about how journalism, law, and human rights combine to set innocent people free. Learn from a law professor who has contested convictions and worked with the California Innocence Project to get justice for those whose voice is often drowned out by the legal system.
