Program Description:

There is no better place to absorb the Spanish language then traveling through Spain’s famous cities and countryside. Spend your mornings in intensive language lessons, learning to improve your speaking and comprehension skills. Your afternoons are filled with learning traditional Spanish cultural skills, cooking, and exploring everything around you. Tour historic highlights in Madrid and Barcelona. In the Basque Country, hike and kayak your way along the coast.

Setting Description:
Explore Madrid and immerse yourself in the Spanish culture before venturing north to Basque Country and the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. Set out to Santillana del Mar along the Basque coastline. See the views from the western coast of Camino Norte. Go canyoneering in the Picos de Europa National Park. Relax at a homestay in the small city of Logrono then take the train to Barcelona and explore its beaches. Head to a city famous for food, folklore and its landmarks; Zaragoza. Here, explore Roman ruins and old cathedrals. Heading back to Madrid, break up the journey, stopping at several Arabic- and Moroccan-influenced cities. End the program with a night in Madrid before saying goodbye and heading home.
