Program Description:

Go deep in France and learn tourism in the 1st tourist destination in the world! Walk along the Pays de la Loire (Angers – Guérande – La Rochelle - Le Croisic - Le Mans – Nantes - Saumur - Saint Nazaire) and check out the breathtaking scenery as well as the authentic local culture! 

Summer Schools Angers TourismLab will bring you a meaningful and unforgettable experience in this summer 2016!

This program will take place from 2nd July to 16th July in the region of Pays de la Loire and provides students with an opportunity to experience French culture and to have a thorough understanding about heritage and gastronomy tourism. The two-week program will be divided into 4 modules, and students must choose two modules (one of them for one week respectively). Courses will be taught entirely in English.

2nd - 8th July :

Insight of Diversified Heritage: Walk in the Pays de la Loire
Option 2: Chamber of Commerce Angers     
French Culinary Art and Gastronomy: More Than Wine and Bread

9th - 16th July
Option 1: University of Angers   
Valuation of Heritage: From heritage site to tourist attraction
Option 2: Angers Graduate School of Management     
Innovation and Creativity:  Apply Your Ideas by Design Thinking

Students will be granted 6 crédits if they complete all the courses.

Setting Description:
The two-week program will be divided into 4 modules, and students can choose one of them for one week respectively. Taught entirely in English, the program features with courses delivered by professors or stakeholders of tourism firms, visits of heritage
2200 EUR. Program cost includes tuition fee, courses materials, field trip and firm visits, transportation for trips and visits, lunches and dinners and single room dormitory. (The cost of transportation from students’ original country to France is excluded.)

Additional Program Information

Applicants must complete at least 3-year bachelor study (Bac+3 minimum or equivalent). Related experience or diploma in tourism will be appreciated. Fluent English is required.
