Alvernia University’s fully online Bachelor of Arts in Communication will prepare you for a variety of careers and opportunities in television, magazines, theater, film and more. Your coursework will focus on theory and best practices in communication, including topics such as mass media, digital storytelling, ethical communication and writing for the media. Within the communication degree, you can choose one of two tracks: strategic communication or public relations and advertising. In the strategic communication track, you will study event planning, multimedia design, psychology and new media. In the public relations and advertising track, you will deepen your understanding of public relations, marketing, social media and sales. Throughout the communication bachelor’s program, you will bolster your problem-solving, writing and critical thinking skills.
