The Emory semester program offers students the opportunity to take Spanish language courses, Culture courses, 2 English-taught Psychology Courses and/or an English-taught course in a Spanish setting. Students may also enroll in regular university courses in disciplines such as History, Literature, Geography, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Political Science, and Economics.
Students attend the Universidad de Salamanca, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe, founded in the 13th century, with worldwide reputation in Spanish language teaching and Hispanic studies.
The program is based in Salamanca, centrally located in Spain, just two hours west from Madrid, Spain's capital, and close to Portugal. This strategic centric situation is useful in order to organize the extensive fieldtrips included in the Program: Seville, Barcelona, Valencia, Galicia, Madrid.
