Curriculum Highlights: American students will have the unique opportunity to interact directly with the university and general community. All courses are taught in classrooms of Università degli Studi Roma Tre, and many will have both Arcadia and university students taking them. You will find your proficiency in Italian language will improve daily as you interact with the people, sites, and treasures that you are learning about in the classroom.
Overview: The Arcadia University Center for Italian Studies (AUCIS) was established in direct collaboration with one of Rome’s most dynamic and innovative universities, Università degli Studi Roma Tre. Courses are available in the following areas: Italian Language, Literature, Classics, History, Cinema, Political Science, Business and Fine Arts.
Setting Description: Imagine being in Rome and walking past the Coliseum, St. Peter's Square, and the Forum - the very monuments that you will be studying in class. That's just what you will experience as a student on the Arcadia in Rome program. You will be studying right in the heart of Rome, within walking distance of nearly all major attractions of the Eternal City.
Program Value: Upon arrival in Rome, you will be met by our Resident Director, Tina Rocchio, who will introduce you to your new home and provide you with a comprehensive orientation program. Activities and excursions designed to enhance your understanding of the Italian language and culture are planned throughout the semester and academic year.
