Program Overview

Program Description:
Come spend the best part of your summer at The American University of Paris, living and studying in one of the world’s most remarkable cities! Located in the heart of Paris, AUP is the academic and social home to students from around the world — and has been for over fifty years. If you are adventurous, naturally curious, and enjoy travelling & meeting people of different cultures & backgrounds, consider spending your summer at AUP.

Renowned for over 50 years for its international curriculum, engaged faculty, and location close to the Eiffel tower, The American University of Paris offers an excellent educational experience and one of the most diverse student bodies in the world. The intensive summer session packs into 6 weeks all of the quality of its American-style curriculum against the backdrop of the City of Light.

As the premier English-language university in France offering a fully US-accredited liberal arts curriculum, AUP provides a summer academic experience that is truly unique. Courses are exciting, relevant, and often incorporate the city of Paris into the learning experience; students learn in its museums, paint in its streets, study the multi-ethnic world of contemporary French life, and immerse themselves in European culture.
Setting Description:
AUP has an urban campus that extends from its home in the 7th arrondissement to the city’s bookstores, cafés, libraries, and galleries. It provides you with the opportunities and amenities of one of the world’s truly great cities, right at your doorstop. We challenge you to engage in deeper academic and cultural learning sharpened by discussion, analysis, and research at over 200 institutions across the city, including the Louvre, UNESCO, the Sorbonne, L’institut Francaise de la Mode, and more.
Cost:
Tuition starts at about €1,700 to audit a 6-week course. Prices vary depending on the number of classes, whether you would like to receive university credit, and additional options you select. Please see our website for a full list of the most recent tuition and costs.
