If you are adventurous, naturally curious, and enjoy travelling & meeting people of different cultures & backgrounds, consider spending your summer at AUP.
The three-week summer curriculum is tailored to your needs. Composed of theme-based, seminar-style classes that may be taken for credit or audited, they permit you to explore Paris on foot through the city’s architecture, museums, books, or music. Unleash your creativity in courses on fashion, film, media, drawing, creative writing, and personal narrative offered by professionals in the field - all with Paris as a glorious backdrop.
As the premier English-language university in France offering a fully US-accredited liberal arts curriculum, AUP provides a summer academic experience that is truly unique. Courses are exciting, relevant, and often incorporate the city of Paris into the learning experience; students learn in its museums, paint in its streets, study the multi-ethnic world of contemporary French life, and immerse themselves in European culture.

- Paris On My Own02/29/16
I had been to Paris before as a part of a group, and I'd studied Paris as a history minor at school, so going abroad to continue to study was what I thought to be a great idea. Visiting the sites, learning about the history, meeting new people, was a
fantastic part of the trip, but with the summer program, and having lived in a single on my own, I was somewhat separated from everyone. Our singles, all nine of us who had them, were all spread out, as was other housing. So after I went to class, toured on my own, and maybe sat outside for a bit, I was back to being alone. The issue was that there was no warning to this. I assumed housing was at least near each other, not in the various arrondisemonts around the city. With more information available for the summer program, I would have probably had a better time. That being said, the time spent and sites seen were certainly worth it.
