First day/arrival day

Home Sweet Home?

Happy Independence Day everyone! In my mixed feelings for being home I decided to write one last post for you about some differences between the culture in Argentina and the culture here in the USA, as well as how things are adjusting being back home. I've been so excited to see my friends and family, and catch up with them. It's amazing how much things can change in just 5 weeks.

See You When I See You

This past week has been a roller coaster of emotions. Monday night we called it a night early. Spending 20 hours on the bus coming back from Iguazú was exhausting. Tuesday and Wednesday I spent watching movies and documentaries for my paper because it took us forever to get DVD copies of some of them. Wednesday night was our typical night at Shawarma and we ended up becoming Facebook friends with the waitress that is there every week. She's such a sweetheart!

Weekend in Iguazu!

After a 40 hour round trip bus ride, we survived the weekend in Iguazú. Friday was very exciting during flag day! We went and saw the whole set up and everyone celebrating. Merrick and I decided to have lunch at Messi's dad's restaurant in honor of the special day, it was delicious! We had a typical Argentine pizza with ham, cheese, and egg on it. After taking touristy pictures and buying flags we headed back to our houses to grab our bags and head to the bus station.
