The program at Macquarie University offers a wide variety of courses. The Macquarie University library is home to over one million books and offers seating to over 1,850 readers with free and open access to collections and periodicals along with lending privileges and reference services to all students. Students are housed in various accommodations on and around the campus. In addition to it's state of the art academic facilities, Macquarie University has athletic courts available, a gym and weight-training area, a sauna, a track, and four sports fields. Various on campus activities are organized by the Student's Union. The international student population plays an important role in the life of the University community.

Setting Description:
The 125-hectare campus is located 18 kilometers northwest of Sydney's central business district in a natural brush land setting. he University is located in one of Australia's leading high technology parks, North Ryde, just a twenty minute train ride to downtown Sydney center. A modern shopping complex is located adjacent to the campus and there is a regular bus and train service.
