I am currently in Florence, Italy about to go explore this beautiful city.
Before I got to Florence, this is where I came from...
I am currently on a 2 week fall break and I began in Barcelona. It was so much fun! I went to the beach for a whole day and got some sun. The last time I was at the beach was so long ago I can't even remember. I did the sandeman free walking tour here which was extremely helpful, as always. Some major sights I saw were: Park Guell, Sagrada Familia, and the beach. One thing that a lot of people don't know is that in Barcelona, they speak Catalan, not Spanish. I also had an amazing time at the hostel where I met a ton of people and we would all go out at night together. So from Barcelona, I went to Rome. Starting off, I thought the city was pretty dirty but the architecture makes up for it. Vatican City was absolutely beautiful and I saw the pope! It was awesome. I also saw the coliseum, Sistine chapel, and the trevi fountain. I loved the hostel there because I was small and in an apartment building. The two ladies who owned it were amazing! There was a full size shower too!!
Last night (10/28/2013), I arrived in Florence and I love it so far. I'm doing a walking tour today and then taking a train to Pisa tomorrow.
I love that I'm getting to see all of these amazing places but I can't wait to be back in Vichy and then back in the states on December 16. I'm ready to finish up my senior year but I'm glad I got to do this before entering the real world.
