Program Description:
The world around us is in a constant flux. Globalisation of markets and media, shifts in politics and governance, cultural conflicts and migration deeply impact on citizens and society. To investigate and make understandable these processes, social research is needed. The two-year Master in Social Research offers an advanced program in preparation for a career as a highly qualified social researcher. The program combines rigorous, specialist training with multidisciplinary education, and teaches common types of social research design including both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. The Master in Social Research is a two-year programme starting in September each year. The Research Master consists of a core curriculum, specialization in a disciplinary track, internship, summerschool participation, and the writing of a thesis. Disciplinary tracks are: *Anthropology: Human security *Communication Science: Communication, Society and the Individual *Organization Sciences: Networking and Organizational Renewal *Political Science: Multilevel Governance *Sociology: Globalization and Diversity Students follow seminars and tutorials in small groups and benefit from intensive supervision.

Requirements:
Academic bachelor's degree in social sciences, related to the track of the student's choice. Students must have had social sciences research methodology. Students must have a grade average of at least 7,5 in the Dutch grading system (in the USA this translates approximately to a GPA of 3.25)

Scholarships Description:
