Program Description:
Where do differences in political systems come from, and how do such differences affect the way that people take part in society? To what extent does the process of Europeanization change both the form and the content of national policy making? How can governments influence the role of societies on environmental issues? The master in Political Science searches for answers to these questions. The master programme in Political Science studies processes of political transformation in a changing social and economic environment. Students are encouraged to study and discuss these developments in small-scale and intensive seminars, and to advance their analytical skills in a thesis project of their own choice. The programme offers three specializations: Global Environmental Governance, International Relations & Transnational Governance, and Comparative & European Politics . Global Environmental Governance: E.g. environmental regimes, governance of codes and standards, environmental foreign policy analysis, global adaptation governance International Relations and Transnational Governance: E.g. international security, geopolitics, global political economy, human rights and humanitarian intervention Comparative & European Politics: E.g. welfare state transformation, electoral politics, political economy of European integration, EU institutional change
