Program Description:
The Tinbergen Institute (TI) is the research and graduate school of the economics faculties of the Vrije Universiteit (VU), Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) and the University of Amsterdam (UvA). The institute offers a highly selective, intensive two-year postgraduate programme leading to a Master of Philosophy degree in economics. The teaching staff is drawn from the best researchers at the three participating faculties. The first year of the Master of Philosophy programme in Economics is entirely devoted tot core courses and the development of key skills. In the second year you will specialize in at least three areas of economics. After completing the Mphil in Economics, most students opt for further academic study (PhD). But students can also decide to embark on a career in consultancy or policy advice.
