Program Description:

UWE and the Safe Neighborhoods Unit (a national nonprofit research and consultancy organization) have joined forces to develop an integrated training and education program aimed at giving people from a range of occupational backgrounds the skills to reverse the decline of troubled urban environments. The program will be of interest to those practicing or intending to practice in a number of occupations, including community safety officers, chief executives' staff, housing managers, architects, planners, police, teachers, social workers, probation officers, youth workers and community workers. Community representatives such as tenants' leaders or Neighborhood Watch coordinators are also welcome to apply.
