Program Overview

Program Description:
This programme is aimed at recent graduates with a good degree in any subject and who wish to develop a good understanding of management principles and practice. You may be a recent graduate planning a career in management or you may be a professional looking for a career change. This 12 month programme provides you with the essential knowledge and critical skills you need to help you become a successful manager. The course draws on the knowledge and workplace experience of a talented group of academics and combines the latest thinking in management theory with the practical skills that you need on the ground. This course focuses on how international business operates across international boundaries to give you a good grounding in the skills you need to work as a manager in today's global market. In the first semester you will study core modules in people management, marketing, operations and accounting and financial management, as well as spending time developing the personal and problem-solving skills you will need as a professional. During the Spring semester you will study strategic management, international business strategy, and international management, and choose one from a range of options including negotiation, international human resources, and a number of modules on East Asian business. During your final semester you will submit a dissertation on a subject that interests you within the field of international business.

Chartered Management Institute and the Association of MBAs We are pleased to offer the Sheffield Scholarship 2016 to all US students commencing a Taught Masters programme in September 2016. The scholarships are: • £2,000 if your tuition fees are between £14,500 and £16,500 • £2,500 for each student paying fees of £16,501 and upwards We also offer scholarships of 50% of the course fee which will be offered on the basis of academic merit.

Requirements:
GPA 3.0/4.0 with 3.3 (a good Upper-Second degree or international equivalent) in Law. If your degree is not law, then it should have a large law component.
International Requirements:
Minimum IELTS score of 7.0 overall with a minimum of 7.0 in the writing element.
