- This program is designed to provide a solid foundation in both general and applied linguistics, and to equip graduates with specialised skills and knowledge in a career-specific field of their choice. Specialisations available include: * Language acquisition, learning and teaching. * Language planning and policy. * Lexicography and corpus linguistics. * Translation. *Conference interpreting (from 2000). * Creative writing (Honours level only). The program will benefit those involved or interested in language teaching and learning; designing, executing and understanding language policies; translating and interpreting; designing, compiling and understanding dictionaries; writing stories, novels or other creative copy.
