Program Description:
The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders (CSD) is designed to prepare graduate professional personnel in the delivery of clinical services to individuals requiring supportive patient care. Through utilization of a clinical training model in which skills and competencies of concern include those related to the prevention, assessment, habilitation, and rehabilitation of disease or disorder related to communication. In addition, the department accepts an obligation to give particular attention to the clinical health care needs of the region in its research, outreach, and service programs in communication disorders.
