M.B.A. The Asper M.B.A. program is specifically designed to maximize success while focusing on leadership development through a specialized Executive Leadership component. Unique partnerships with the Manitoba business community enhance business connections, career opportunities and apply classroom knowledge to “live” business situations. The Asper M.B.A. consists of 60 credit hours of course work, which can be completed full time, part time, or on an accelerated basis. M.Sc. The Master of Science program represents several years of research and market analysis, and is the newest graduate program offered by the Asper School of Business. Designed for those who have an interest in studying an area of business at an in-depth level and who want to develop their research skills, the program offers a unique opportunity for graduate study in business. The M.Sc. program, coupled with AACSB accreditation, differs from an M.B.A. program in that it has a research orientation, requires a thesis or practicum, has an in-depth curriculum in a particular discipline of Management, and involves one-on-one work with faculty mentors. Ph.D. This AACSB accredited program attracts highly qualified individuals who are interested in developing their research and teaching skills. Students are assured of working with faculty members on several projects during their program and are required to spend a specific number of hours per week working for a faculty member during the term and also in the summer. Students are mentored not only in their research program, but also in the development of teaching skills. Because the program is designed for individuals who wish to pursue an academic career, a teaching practicum is required. The Asper School of Business provides the knowledge, skills, perspectives and connections needed to build a meaningful personal and professional future. Through enriching classroom experiences, face-to-face discussions with culturally diverse peers, professors, and business leaders, the Asper M.B.A. provides the experience, insight and values needed to be a meaningful, highly regarded leader. Graduates of the M.Sc. program are uniquely positioned to undertake additional graduate work (e.g., at the doctoral level), to take up staff/research/consultative positions in private or public sector organizations in Canada, or to teach in smaller colleges in Canada or overseas. The size of the Ph.D. program is intentionally limited to foster students' development through intense and close interaction with the faculty. This close interaction with the faculty provides the opportunity to learn exciting research methods and theories.
