This is a unique programme of study delivered over three full years of residency in Paris. Not only does it offer students real immersion in French life and language, supported by intensive teaching and assessment across all aspects of the course in French, it also prepares them for graduate work in a range of disciplines: the humanities, international relations, education and applied linguistics. The programme contains a combination of compulsory core courses to consolidate spoken and written skills in French language and to introduce students to historical periods, to diverse forms of cultural production, and to contemporary critical and theoretical approaches, with a range of stage two and three specialist options that enable students to develop their own interests.
