Program Description:
Lectures and discussions with Swedish officials, physicians, nurses, midwives, social workers, psychologists, physical therapists, government planners, childcare workers and politicians.

Learn how the Swedish welfare state is organized and see first-hand how it works on all levels. Finland offers an interesting variant on the "nordic model" of health and social care.

The fee includes three credit hours, lodging, breakfast, all site visits, weekend excursion to Finland, emergency medical evacuation and repatriation services, and all instructional and administrative costs.
Setting Description:
Lectures and site visits are in the Stockholm and Uppsala areas of Sweden. A three day trip to Helsinki, Finnland is also included.
