- The Master program Computing Science was started in september 2002 in Groningen. We offer several variants of this master program: a P-variant is meant for those who aim to continue with a Ph.D. program; an M-variant is meant for the students who want to enter the IT business world after they earned their master title. Finally, the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences also has an Education/Communication Master program for Computing Science bachelors. An important goal in the master program is to give the student some research experience. In this way the institute can judge which student is suited to go on in research (Ph.D. program).
