Program Overview

Program Description:
he Stratingh Institute was founded in 1997 as a combination of laboratories of organic and inorganic chemistry and chemical engineering, using the full name Stratingh Institute for Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. As of 1 January 2006, the chemical engineering groups have moved to the new Institute for Technology and Management. The remaining organic and molecular inorganic chemistry groups continue, using the name Stratingh Institute for Chemistry. The Stratingh Institute carries out both fundamental and applied industrially oriented research. Present research projects include application-oriented research on organic and inorganic synthesis, catalysis: heterogeneous, homogeneous and biocatalysis and polymer processing. The multidisciplinary teams within the Stratingh Institute may facilitate R&D routes from laboratory to industrial scale.
