Program Description:
Information Technology can assist schools and colleges in being more effective by helping teachers to be more productive, motivating pupils or students, improving teaching and learning quality, helping the management of themselves and the learning process. This new course will enable you to identify with IT based instructional technology within an educational setting ie schools, FE colleges, HE institutions or industry and commerce. It is not a programme in Computing, Educational Management or Educational Psychology but does contain facets from all of these areas. Relevant issues to educational instruction technology for the millennium will be addressed and include:- the availability and costs of instructional technology services and applications; educational issues with respect to change, communication and delivery; strategy, planning and support in instructional technology provision; design and interface aspects of on-line materials for teaching.
