Program Description:

There is a growing national awareness of, and demand for, multimedia computing. The rapid evolvement of the WWW and availability of internet and intranet applications that exploit multimedia assets has created a demand for experienced, or suitably qualified, multimedia staff. This course seeks to enable you to design and develop effective multimedia systems and also develop your awareness of current trends and developments in multimedia applications and systems and enable you to evaluate their features and effectiveness. Relevant issues of multimedia computing systems for the millennium will be addressed and include:- technological features; impact of multimedia within the information society of the millennium: acquisition and utilisation of multimedia assets; design and evaluation of multimedia applications for stand-alone and inter/intranet shared applications.
