Media Production Recent developments in the media industry in Wales have created an exciting context for postgraduate study, especially in screenwriting, directing and animation. This course is designed for those who wish to develop their potential of establishing successful careers in the film, video, radio and animation industries as writers and directors. The course is centred around practical production and offers specialist teaching and study in the areas of film and television, radio and animation, with an emphasis on drama. Core elements address the make-up of the media industries and the role of the producer in the context of current industrial trends and practices. The programme has been developed in consultation with experienced professionals and while current industrial practices will figure in the teaching, it will also seek to encourage innovation in the techniques and methods of production as well as in the form and content of the product. You may be able to receive funding for the course from your LEA or your local TEC. Additionally you may apply for Career Development Loans and British Academy Awards.
